“I love funky, infectious, bassy tech house, atmospheric sounds, and sassy hooks that keep people dancing all day and all night.”

That’s how Bethany Rose describes herself as a DJ. Never afraid to push the envelope with her song selection, her sometimes hard-hitting sometimes emotive musical selections always create a high vibe. She has spent most of her life working as a professional artist listening to music around the clock while she paints. When asked what type of music she likes to listen to growing up she replies, “all of it! you can find great music in every genre. You just have to dig.” From classic Billy Holiday to Hyroglifics from Bob Dylan to Prince, she finds inspiration in all of it. With her mixed spectrum of musical influence comes varied yet surprising fluid compositions. Today, this translates into sets where she picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that she loves: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, bouncy, chuggy, or drippy bass lines, and perfectly placed vocal hooks. It’s not uncommon to hear a progressive house song elegantly painted into one of her hard-hitting, feet can’t stop moving sets. She likes to keep the vibe high and people moving in front of her whether it's time for something groovy and light or if it's time to dance so hard that you lose one of your shoes. 

She is an active member of her local San Francisco music and art community. Though she loves playing in nightclubs, rooftop patios, festivals, and special events, her love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing and matching great tracks. As a producer, singer, songwriter, musician, painter, and promoter, she has found plenty of ways to express herself musically and artistically. “I love seeing people move to my music, even when they don't realize they are doing it… regardless of genre, tempo, style, or release date. When I live paint while I DJ the response from the crowd is priceless. It brings a whole other level of connection with the audience because not only are they dancing but they are also curious and curiosity is how relationships are formed“

Currently, she is playing live streams, radio, events, parties, and venues mostly in the San Francisco bay area such as The End Up, Butter, Sound Proof, Open Air, SFWest, NSSRadio, Sessions, Makers Market Gallery, Mars Bar, Create Space, private party busses, and Fast Forward Takeovers. She hes also played venues and events in other cities such as BlueBird in Reno, Sessions in San Jose, The Hunters Moon Gathering in San Diego, KISL 88.7 FM, Avalon on Catalina Island, and Ocean Park Beach Party in San Juan Puerto Rico.
